I still believe this is true, and the success the basketball program is enjoying - and more pertinently the attention the Coogs are getting nationally from that big, thrilling, heart-in-my-throat 2OT victory against the Jayhawks, or as I call them, the Jawhawks, because win, lose or draw, that fanbase is going to let you know about it. I lived in Kansas City for 2 years (Lenexa, Kansas, actually), and KU was the local UT, the default, tee-shirt collegiate sports fan choice and default for unambitious high school students who couldn't be bothered to do research into where they'd spend the next 3-5 years of their lives. I don't hate them at all. I don't hate any sports fanbase. I don't even hate Tom Herman! I don't even say fuck Tom Herman, either. Because I'm, like, really morally sound.
